This is a remote position, that can also sit in our Santa Ana HUB office.
How you will contribute in this role
The APTM Implementation Specialist will be responsible for ensuring successful client implementation with a specialized focus on payroll tax setup and processing. The Implementation Specialist will provide tax and implementation expertise to their engagements. The Implementation Specialist will work with clients to understand their business requirements and configure and test the tax solution. The Implementation Specialist will have Project Management level accountability. The Implementation Specialist will take direction and provide status to the Implementation Manager, VP of Tax and Chief of Staff.
- Become an expert in the Asure's Payroll Tax Management (APTM) solutions quickly
- Perform the following on an engagement:
- Discover client business requirements and document your findings
- Create a project plan and timelines working with the client
- Configure the company, banking and tax components based on the documented specifications
- Work with client to develop integration files as needed
- Train client resources on tax processing for periodic, quarterly and year-end data
- Support client for the first successful 30-90 days after go-live (potentially longer, as needed)
- Participate in formal transition of client to Asure Support after successful implementation
- Work successfully in conjunction with other internal project teams (operations, software development, cash management, sales, etc)
- Complete the projects within the budgeted time allowed
- Understand Asure’s implementation methodology and use it on all engagements
- Provide the department manager and/or VP Operations with status reports and keep them apprised of overall project happenings
- Overcome client and internal obstacles to timely project completion, and coordinate with other departments as necessary to obtain objectives
- Ensure the client takes advantage of Asure’s best practices
- Identify opportunities to position other service offerings
- Ensure the client is referenceable once the client is in production
- Help mentor new Implementation Specialists
- Participate in update training and other events that help share one’s product skills with other consultants and to keep abreast of industry changes
- Handle Professional Service tasks as they are submitted to the team, to include:
- Changing configuration data on a previously implemented account
- Performing additional training sessions when purchased from a client
- Completing new tax account registrations as contracted with clients
- Assisting with additional Professional Service work where needed
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in education and experience
- 2+ years of strong professional consulting experience in implementing systems
- Strong payroll background with an advanced understanding of multi-state tax laws and processing is required
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Workday Certification and/or experience a plus
- Prior back-end software experience or experience with the Mangrove/Asure HCM system a plus
- Passion for client service and their success
- Demonstrated project management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Business analysis and requirements gathering abilities
- Demonstrated conflict management skills
- Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training
- Ability to teach adult learners new technologies and processes
- Ability to travel from time to time (limited travel < 10%)
