Job description

Responsibilities:

• Implement and supervise daily curriculum and student activities (create lesson plans independently)
• Create and supervise a fun and safe learning environment
• Assist with center housekeeping/maintenance (i.e. bathroom, cafeteria, activity area, playground, etc) and ensure cleanliness each day in classroom, bathrooms, and playground areas used
• Maintain open communication with children, center administration and Child Care Office
• Advise the Center Director of all child/parent/staff problems immediately and document as required
• Attend center staff meetings and training as directed by center management
• Maintain the health and safety of all students
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently

Qualifications:

• Must be 18-years-old or older
• High School Diploma or GED
• NC Childcare Criminal Background check
• Certified or willing to be certified and up to date in CPR and First Aid certification
• Additional training in Child Development preferred; EDU 119
• Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields
• Proficient in supervision of children
• Must have high energy and be self-motivated
• Effective time management and problem-solving skills
• Positive and patient demeanor
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Benefits:

Sign-on bonus available after 90 days of satisfactory performance.

Pay: $10.00 - $14.00 per hour
