What You Will Do:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter.
oDesign and develop data mappings, transformations, and workflows to move data from source systems to target systems.
oMonitor ETL jobs, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance of the ETL processes.
oCollaborate with other developers, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure ETL processes are aligned with business needs.
oPerform data analysis, profiling, and cleansing to ensure data quality and accuracy.
oDevelop and maintain technical documentation and provide support to users as needed.
- Work with other Developers and Data Warehouse Database Administrators (DBAs) to resolve application problems. Troubleshoot application audit logging.
- Interface with DBAs, Application Administrators (AA), third-party system administrators, and the end-user community.
- Configure the ETL environments to meet user and security requirements.
- Tune Informatica, develop standards and tuning metrics and alert thresholds, then conduct performance tuning as required.
- Create Informatica workflows based upon user requirements and data modeling.
- Review proposed changes and unit test in development, support test and QA environment.
- Develop a complete set of ETL documentation describing the current configuration of the system.
- Utilize LINUX shell scripting including vi and file management commands. RHEL specifically.
- Provide expertise and take ownership/responsibility of Data Modeling (Snowflake, Star schema etc.) needs for specific project(s).
- Participate and provide overall data modeling support to the Data Architect to develop and maintain robust ETL workflows per requirements, using Erwin.
Education/Certification
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration or
Required Skills:
- 5+years of Informatica (v.10) ETL application development experience
- 3+ years of experience in ETL development specifically using Informatica PowerCenter.
- CompTIA Security + certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Candidates MUST be a US Citizen and be eligible and willing to obtain a Public Trust clearance with ADP I or ADP II sensitivity levels for information system access
Desired Skills:
- Experience within federal government consulting/contracting environments
- Expertise with the following product versions: Informatica v 10.2; Control M Scheduling
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Operating System and Control-M Scheduler
- Strong understanding of ETL concepts, data warehousing, and business intelligence.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience working with Oracle relational databases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
