Information Security Instructor/Writer

Location: Fort Gordon, GA


Requires US Citizenship

Employment Term and Type: Regular, Full Time
Required Security Clearance: TS/SCI
Desired Education: Bachelor's Degree


Qualifications:

  • Possess at least 5 years' experience in and knowledge of operating systems and network security.
  • Shall meet requirements of OS and Networking instructor qualifications.
  • Possess at least 3 years' experience in writing x86 assembly.
  • Possess at least 3 years' experience in writing C.
  • Shall have 3 years' experience in understanding Regular Expressions and Context-Free Grammars.
  • Shall be familiar with systems exploitation without the assistance of toolkits like Core Impact or MSF.
  • Shall have 2 years' experience with reverse engineering patches to discover the original vulnerabilities.
  • Required Education and Experience:
  • Must have bachelor's degree. Preferred degrees include Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or an equivalent degree.
  • Possess skills/knowledge of performing office automation work that includes word processing, electronic mail, spreadsheets, presentations, and other personal computer applications; typing a variety of materials from a rough draft into the final form including narrative and tabular material, e.g., correspondence, reports, and forms; maintaining records, historical records, survey results, reference library of training catalogs, regulations, and other miscellaneous publications; establishing and maintaining office functional files and reference files; knowledge management applications e.g., SharePoint, Army training requirements and resources system (ATRRS), and Blackboard.
  • Graduated from the Support Cadre Training Course (SCTC) and either the Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC) or the Foundation Instructor Facilitator Course (FIFC).


Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

  • Must be detail-oriented and have excellent organization, planning, coordination, and time management skills.
  • Have effective problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience developing and updating lesson plans and training materials.
  • Possess outstanding communication skills both verbal and nonverbal.
  • Be able to complete all required training during period of employment.
  • Knowledgeable of all applicable regulations and doctrine regarding military training, especially the military Officer, Noncommissioned Officer, and Warrant Officer policies based on the courses they will be instructing. Instructors must be able to work with minimum guidance.
  • Proficient with computer programs (Word, Power Point, Excel), and ensure ability to access all required training tools.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Must be a US Citizen
