Job description

Enables entry-level and aspiring (0-2 years’ experience) IT professionals to gain foundational technical capabilities. These related skills include basic and advanced security concepts, IT infrastructure, cloud operations, vulnerability assessments, risk management, full stack development, and more skills through our objective based professional development program.

Participants will work closely with DCI and designated employer partners to build skills and capabilities, which will culminate in being selected to work in full time roles with clients. Outcomes typically align towards Help Desk Analysts positions in Connecticut.

Help Desk Analyst
Rewarding IT careers start on the help desk. The support field is booming as companies continue to expand their operations and invest in technology to fuel this growth. In addition, the release of new systems and products rarely slows, meaning there is a steady need for specialists to help end users troubleshoot the applications and hardware they rely on.

Prerequisites for Candidates:
- Seeking candidates who are top performing, highly energized about their career, driven/ambitious, and willing to put in the work it takes for a rigorous information technology development program.

- Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.

- Be a Connecticut State Resident.

- Have at least a high school diploma or GED.

- Must be able to commit to a 6-month minimum professional development program.

- Interested and eligible for sponsorship to obtain a security clearance (up to Top Secret) from the U.S. federal government.

Expectations
If accepted, participants must complete/obtain assigned certifications and other learning objectives to be considered for full-time employment. Participants who have already passed an exam are not required to take the exam again. However, all participants will be required to demonstrate understanding of subject matter for any previously held and newly obtained certifications.
