Job Title: Home Infusion Nurse Expert (must have home infusion experience)

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Home Infusion Nurse Expert to provide exceptional infusion therapy to patients in the comfort of their homes. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of providing safe, efficient, and comfortable IV placements for patients of all ages and medical conditions with exceptional intravenous access for patients in various healthcare settings and administering complex infusion therapies and managing patients' care plans to ensure the best possible outcomes. The ideal candidate should possess excellent technical skills, knowledge of IV placement protocols, a strong understanding of patient care, and a passion for delivering high-quality care to patients in their homes. Key Responsibilities: •Perform intravenous cannulation for patients in various healthcare settings • Assess patient needs, evaluate venous access options, determine the most appropriate access site • Perform successful port access for patients with ports • Utilize imaging technologies to identify veins for cannulation when necessary • Monitor patients during the placement process, adjust techniques to ensure patient comfort and safety • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely appropriate care for patients • Maintain accurate records of IV placements and patient care • Stay up to date with the latest IV placement techniques and technologies and implement best practices • Participate in training programs for healthcare professionals on IV placement techniques and patient care • Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe work environment • Report any complications or adverse reactions to the appropriate healthcare professionals •Administer a variety of infusion therapies, including, biologics, immunoglobulin therapy, steroids and antibiotics • evaluate medication orders, determine the most appropriate infusion site and method • Collaborate with clinical liaison, physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and manage patient care plans • Monitor patients' vital signs, assess for adverse reactions, intervene as necessary to ensure patient safety and comfort • Teach patients and caregivers about the infusion therapy, its administration, and potential side effects • Document all patient care activities accurately/thoroughly via electronic sharing of nursing notes a • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the delivery of safe and effective infusion therapy • Maintain current knowledge of infusion therapy and home healthcare regulations and standards • Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, including responding to questions and concerns in a timely and compassionate manner. Requirements: • Current state nursing license • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IV placement in various healthcare settings • Proficiency in performing venipuncture and accessing central venous catheters • Minimum of 1 years of experience in home infusion therapy • Experience with peripheral, central port access • Ability to work independently • Attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills • Knowledge of infusion therapy administration, equipment, and biologic medications • Ability to assess, plan, implement patient care effectively • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Strong problem-solving skills with expert level attention to detail • Flexibility to work longer shifts if patient condition warrants into evenings and weekends as necessary • Knowledge of infection control protocols and best practices •Advanced knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology •Understanding of various types of infusion devices and pumps •Knowledge of infusion therapy including indications, contraindications, and potential side effects •Remain up to date with the lates advancements in infusion therapy through continuing education and professional development •Willingness to pursue certification in infusion nursing credentialing.
