Job description

Due to the influx of new business, we are looking to hire an Installer & Service Technician who is experienced and looking to assist and grow with the company. This position will help install and service security cameras, alarm systems and access control systems in mainly commercial settings.

Job Duties:

• Installing, servicing, and upgrading alarm/intrusion systems, card access, camera systems, computer software/hardware, and firmware.
• Work with different manufactures of systems & equipment that best suit our clients needs
• Installation and termination of security devices such as: motion detectors, door strikes, glass breaks, mag locks, card readers, door lockdown, gate systems and Intercom systems.
• Teach customers on how to properly operate and function installed systems
• Troubleshoot various equipment
• Work with networking devices such as: routers, modems, switches and hubs
• Install conduit and cabling
• Utilize NVRs, surge protectors and power mid-spans
• Install batteries, field devices, and other types of power equipment.
• Read interpret blueprints, overlays, manuals and project instructions.
• Installation of various brands of IP cameras
• Network cable installation & termination

Qualifications:

• 1- 2 years’ experience installing security cameras, alarm systems, and/or access control systems
• Experience working with Digital Watchdog, Milestone, Hanwha, and Univision (Preferred)
• Experience with DMP, ICT and ProData Key is a plus!
• Strong attention to detail excellent planning skills
• Great communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Have reliable transportation
• Must be able to travel in & out of state overnight to project sites
• Live within 50 miles of Rolling Meadows, IL

Job Type: Full-time
