Job description

Position Description: Source new Low Voltage Cabling along with Audio Visual and IT sales opportunities for the Installation Department on a daily basis.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Source new Low Voltage Cabling, Audio Visual and IT sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
  • Understand customer needs and requirements
  • Formulate solutions, produce accurate and timely estimates then follow up with prospective clients
  • Close sales and achieve monthly quotas
  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
  • Maintain and expand the company’s database of prospects
  • Set up and deliver sales presentations, product/service demonstrations, and other sales actions.
  • Assist in creating RFP responses to potential clients or support marketing efforts such as trade shows, exhibits, and other events.
  • Make outbound follow-up calls to existing clients via telephone and email cross-sell and up-sell.
  • Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls and convert into sales; Overcome objections of prospective customers; Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales order forms and/or reports.
  • Enter new customer data and update changes to existing accounts in the corporate database.
  • Attend periodic sales training where applicable.
  • Appropriately communicate brand identity and corporate position
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Familiarity and experience with A/V equipment, low voltage cabling or A/V cabling experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D., advanced degree preferred
  • 2+ years of sales experience in the electronics industry
  • Experience in Microsoft Suite, emphasis on Excel, Word

Reports To: Director of Installation Services

Physical Job Requirements:

  • Sitting: Must be able to sit for a minimum of 4 hours
  • Walking: Throughout the facility on a continuous basis
  • Lifting/Carrying: Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
  • Climbing: Must be able to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Vision: Corrected 20/20 vision required
  • Talking/Hearing: Must be able to communicate on the telephone.

Environment: Work environment is REMOTE or in a typical office environment located on-site or in a remote home office during normal or extended business hours.
