    Position Overview

    Description: Paraprofessional Supervisory

    Job Summary: This is a 7 hour per day position at Westwood School. The position requires a person with strong collaborative and communication skills, is technology savvy, is self-directed but a team player, is culturally aware, and responsible. The successful candidate will support work with supervison of students during the day, office duties such as: attendance, scheduling, athletic registration and receptionist in office.

    Qualifications: Candidate must be able to handle confidential information, be able to work with middle aged students in a positive way to help students feel welcomed and a sense of belonging, be able to perform tasks proficiently while handling frequent interruptions, multi-task, and possess good communication skills. Candidate must have excellent customer service skills. Personal skills must include a professional, friendly, positive, and cooperative work style and the ability to work with many types of people in various circumstances.

    Necessary qualifications include...

    • hold a high school diploma or a GED certificate;
    • complete 90 quarter or 60 semester college credits and/or AA degree in the area of Education, Child Development, Child Psychology, Behavioral Sciences, or area related to position assignment OR receive a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment;
      • The ParaPro Assessment is available in the Human Resources Office and can be taken after a job offer is obtained

    Salary:

    Per the paraprofessional salary schedule.
