Job Title: Instrumentation & Electrical Engineer

Location: Midland ,Texas

Job Description & Skill Requirement:

Responsible for providing I&E Engineering design and installation support for a portfolio of small capital projects and providing support to existing base operations. Works with the Customer FE design teams to deliver seamless small project construction work packages. Responsible for insuring instrumentation, control, and electrical system design, installation, commissioning, and start-up are conducted in a safe and efficient manner. Develops instrumentation, control, and electrical discipline deliverables and where required, works with engineering contractors to ensure all vendor-supplied equipment packages meet the applicable instrument, control, and electrical specifications. Participates and contributes to the appropriate safety reviews (HazOps, HazAn, etc). Must have working knowledge on electrical systems, SCADA, instrumentation, control and communication systems, and installation practices. Requires a working knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Developing instrumentation, control, and electrical discipline deliverables (e.g. control philosophies, Cause and Effects diagrams, P&IDs, one line diagram, area classification drawings, load analysis, arc- flash calculations)

  • Delivery of I&E engineering construction work package Ensuring all vendor supplied equipment packages meet the applicable instrument, control, and electrical specifications
  • Participating and contributing in safety reviews (HazOps, HazAn, LOPA, etc.), as applicable
  • Managing multiple project schedules and costs
  • Planning timely material deliveries.
  • Mentors Horizon engineers and Ops personnel.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or science related discipline OR High School Diploma/GED
