  • POSITION

JMR+H Architecture, PC has an immediate opening for an in-house experienced Interior Designer / Interior Architect / Market Leader to lead our Interior and Space Planning effort with an existing major market sector office/restaurant/retail client in the Montgomery/Mobile, Alabama markets.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Maintain, enhance, and cultivate relationships with existing major client through meeting planning, presentations and document review and approval.
  • Conduct in-depth programming including client interviews and workplace spatial analysis.
  • Analyze and inventory existing furniture, along with new furniture needs, including the development of detailed move plans.
  • Conduct field measurements, analysis, and inventory of existing spaces in preparation for new tenant space.
  • Development and presentation of block plans, spatial test fits/space plans for tenant review, approval and lease attachment including assistance with budget estimate.
  • Assist in scheduling and assignment of team members by clearly identifying work scope, contract coordination and project budgets.
  • Assist in development of construction documents along with specifications of furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Develop and present materials color boards for tenant approval in accordance with construction documents.
  • Document and assist with Master Maintenance Planning and Programming.
  • Oversee installation of specific design elements and furniture.
  • Assist with RFI’s and requested reviews of work in place during construction.
  • Participate in owner/architect/contractor meetings with Construction Administration staff.
  • Assist in punch list review with Project Architect and/or Construction Administration staff.
  • Follow up with post occupancy review of work including promotional photography.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university in Interior Design or Architecture.
  • Professional License Registration.
  • 10 years proven Interior Design experience.
  • Computer skills required (AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Revit, 3D Modeling Rendering, Adobe).
  • Experience with materials, colors, lighting and furnishing installations.
  • Experience with design and detailing of architectural millwork.
  • Knowledge of building codes, ADA, building materials and construction detailing.
  • Knowledge of BOMA Standard Methods of Measurement.
  • Strong communication, writing and presentation skills.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and meet required deadlines.
  • TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Out of town travel will be required from time to time as needed per project with required expenses reimbursed.

  • SALARY

Commensurate With Experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
