Job Description:

The International Agent Relationship Representative is a key position that directly supports Flat World Global Solutions International Freight Forwarding business. As a strategic position, the ideal candidate will lead all initiatives with our global agency partners to ensure those partnerships lead to revenue growth and profitability.

Key Duties will include:

• Actively participate in the achievement of Flat World Global Solutions International growth and financial goals
• Support International and Domestic business growth by leveraging our global agent network capabilities and develop and maintain a global network to ensure Flat World is the domestic and international partner of choice
• Grow the Flat World International agent network
• Primary responsibility for agent communications, relationships, agent groups and association memberships
• Align agent partner growth with business strategy
• Partner with domestic and international commercial team to drive new international business by leveraging domestic capabilities and offerings
• Negotiate and resolve escalated and complex transactional issues with agents
• Daily use of CRM to create one source for agent information.
• Participate in and be the liaison for sales lead management from overseas partners and all functions associated with agent leads received through agent network
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to establish a communication cadence and ongoing messaging with our global agent network

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Business Management or related field required
• Experience in international freight forwarding industry a plus
• Basic level understanding of forwarding business and freight agency networks.
• Previous outside sales experience preferred

Work Environment:

• Up to 25% travel domestically and internationally. Current passport required.
• This is a remote position if you reside outside of Chicagoland or hybrid position if you reside in the Chicagoland area where our International division is located
• Direct report to the VP Sales and Marketing with a dotted line to the VP and head of Flat World’s international business unit
