International and Domestic Logistics Shipping Manager


The International and Domestic Logistics Shipping Manager works internally with the PCA Commercial and Operations teams as well as with freight forwarders, brokers, vendors, and other outside service providers to guarantee that the department operates in accordance with all local, state, and federal and international customs laws. Ideal candidates will be strong communicators and multi-taskers who are adaptable, resilient, and eager to attack unfamiliar problems with curiosity and a bias for action.

The International and Domestic Logistics Shipping Manager position requires someone who is very detail-oriented with exceptional time-management and organizational skills. The International and Domestic Logistics Shipping Manager must communicate well on the telephone, via email, and in person with staff members. The International and Domestic Logistics Shipping Manager will take considerable pride providing excellent service to company team members and both PCA customers and suppliers.

This is an in-house role located in Ronkonkoma NY 11779 (no remote option)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide the cross-disciplined team interface and direction (regulatory, sales, warehouse, supply chain, packaging) from product registration to the export/customs of products shipped globally from US.
  • Work directly with Fulfillment Center to process orders and satisfy requirements of each distributor.
  • Direct the corporate export/ logistics process in order to meet customer expectations and the business/ market goals.
  • Work directly with customer brokers to process all international shipping documentation including invoices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS degree with 2+ years’ experience in International Export/ Import product shipping, preferably of beauty products, consumer packaged goods, or related.
  • Experience with US Customs and International shipping guidelines and regulations.
  • Dangerous Goods - Strong knowledge of Harmonized Tariff Codes

Compensation:

  • Compensation commensurate upon experience
  • Medical, dental, vision, and 401K available after 90 days
