The H-E-B Internship Experience:
As a 2023 Summer Intern, you'll be challenged with assignments relevant to your business unit. You'll have an enriching and skill-building experience. During the 10-week internship, you'll help us find solutions to real-life problems that drive business forward, network with Executives, and gain insight into the logistical magic that makes H-E-B run! These openings are predominately based out of our San Antonio Headquarters, but other locations may be available based on department needs.
As an H-E-B Intern, You Will:
- Attend our kick-off event and network with over 300+ H-E-B Interns
- Receive a company overview, leadership development training, and exposure to Senior Leadership
- Make an impact on the community through our Intern Volunteer Event
- Hear from a new Business Leader each week at our Leadership Spotlights
- Participate in behind-the-scenes tours of our Stores and our Manufacturing facilities
- Own a project from start to finish and present your findings to the business at the end of the program
- Receive a company overview, leadership development training, and exposure to Senior Leadership
- Receive a final evaluation to assess your performance, to review goals, and to discuss future career paths
Department Summary:

- A long-term career interest with H-E-B
- A strong academic record (3.0 GPR preferred)
- Working knowledge and specific skills required for assigned area of business
- Strong verbal / written communication and presentation skills
- Organization and time-management skills
- Skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Professionalism in a retail work environment, and you enjoy team collaboration
- The ability to manage multiple priorities, shift focus between tasks, and pay attention to details
- The availability to commit to full-time work for the duration of the Internship, and can work a varying work schedule, if required
Qualifications:
- You’re currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program
