Job Summary and Qualifications

The IPC Manager is responsible for the coordination and execution of the IPC tactics for Care Transformation & Innovation (CT&I). This role will partner with the Clinical Operations, Innovation Hub, Change Management and Strategic Management teams within CT&I, as well as educational stakeholders cross HCA. External partnerships in the Clinical and Academic Community will be supported by this role for the educational and organizational structures to strengthen patient centered, team based health care.

The CT&I Manager is a professional development specialist who possesses a strong understanding of andragogy and the development and delivery of educational activities that address a variety of learning styles. Their primary function is to assess and support the competency development of clinicians and other health related professionals in the acquisition of individual and collaborative competencies within a busy health care organization.

Up to 50% Travel Required

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with CT&I teams and innovation locations to understand the current state and opportunities for IPC interventions to support the CT&I strategies and features.
  • Execute Educational Assessment and Gap Analysis to inform educational activities development and execution.
  • Coordinate the IPC Advisory Committee meeting and other communication
  • Utilize metric indicators of educational performance including learner experience and attainment of identified competencies.
  • Develop educational approaches that are agile and effective.
  • Execute on culture influenced engagement strategies
  • Communicate IPC strategies and tactics with appropriate colleagues in innovation locations and other facilities within HCA.
  • Facilitate cooperative approach to partnership through effective communication both written and verbal,
  • Report and escalate issues and risks to the IPC AVP as necessary.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor Degree Required
  • Master Degree Required

LICENSES, CERTIFICATION & TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

  • Training in Instructional Design Preferred
  • Health Care Clinician - Currently licensed as a registered professional in the state in which he or she practices, in accordance with law and regulation. Preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, BEHAVIORS

  • Previous Professional Development leadership experience (innovation/start up environment, complex project experience and/or experience in a clinical setting is preferred),
  • Previous experience in working with interprofessional team building
  • Fluent and current on professional development trends
  • Excellent organizational and time-management, and interpersonal collaboration skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Innovative problem-solving expertise in environments of healthcare
  • Comfort utilizing technology to solve problems and complete tasks
  • Ability to build, develop, and sustain relationships

  • Strong facilitation skills required
