About the Role
As a program manager, you are a tactical leader responsible for aligning projects to strategic objectives. You’re responsible for guiding and delivering benefits related to Watlow’s PMO goals. Additionally, you are accountable for the success of large programs from beginning to end that are IT focused, technical in nature and/or Software Delivery related. This means you must ensure that the individual projects within your program are successful and that they work together to support the goal of your program(s). Watlow programs are typically high value long term strategic programs that involve new and/or enhancing technology, are highly complex, and require tight coordination and integration with multiple organizations, suppliers and other project managers. You’ll contribute to SDLC standards and program governance policy, implement PMO processes and approaches to planning, managing, executing, and delivering projects and programs.

This role can be performed remotely with occasional travel or based in St Louis, MO

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Stakeholder engagement and communication planning: Identifying stakeholders, engaging stakeholders early in a program, and developing an effective communication plan
  • Risk management: Identifying, analyzing, prioritizing, and managing risks in a program
  • Benefits realization management: Ensuring benefits are identified and planned for; assessing progress towards benefits achievement throughout a program
  • Program lifecycle delivery monitoring and reporting: Reporting on progress against milestones, deliverables, and outcomes at each stage of a program
  • Working closely with project managers: Aligning projects with a program by coordinating, controlling, strategic planning, and communication.
  • Leads cross functional teams to complete projects/program within allotted timeline and budget.
  • Oversee project activities that are distinct for each new project, are company- wide, and require a high level of analysis to create project plans for new concept programs.
  • Develops detailed program schedules, resource plans, dashboards, KPIs, and program status reports.
  • Conducts program meetings and is responsible for tracking and analysis.
  • Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team.
Required Qualifications
  • BS degree in Math, Science or Engineering preferred or equivalent related project management experience.
  • 6 to 7 years of related experience
  • PMP desired
