Some details about this position:
The Lead IT Technician works with our central corporate IT Department to resolve various technical issues related to supporting technology implemented in facility operations. In this role, the Lead IT Technician will provide technical software, hardware and network problem resolution to all company computer users by performing question/problem diagnosis and guiding users through step by step solutions in an open and high energy environment. He/she will clearly communicate technical solutions in a user-friendly, professional manner, and provide one-on-one user training as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Ability to deliver technical customer support over the phone in a call center environment.
  • Ability to make the distinction between Level One and Level Two end-user problems.
  • Ability to read, understand and apply complex technical information and master new computer technology.
  • Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships and demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for, a diverse population.
  • Knowledge of Desktop operating systems, various software applications and basic hardware for the PC; principles and theories of network systems and management.
  • Internet technologies and products; basic understanding of electrical safety procedure.
  • College graduate or MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) preferred.
  • 2+ years providing end-user phone support for PC desktop and application software or one year installing, upgrading, troubleshooting and repairing personal computers in a network environment preferred.
Job Duties:
  • Responsible for next tier of support of troubleshooting tasks that the Help Desk Analyst and IT Technicians cannot answer prior to calling IT Manager.
  • Coordinates with Department Managers with various IT issues.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to network users such as password resets and creating email, PCC, Casamba, Devero, Pay Stub, Evident and other future accounts.
  • Responsible for training Helpdesk Clerk/Analyst and volunteers.
  • Responsible for performing evaluation of volunteers.
  • Install PCs, software and peripheral equipment. Travel to off-site location may be required.
  • Installs Specific departmental and Network based software.
  • Sets employees up for remote access with a laptop and prepping the user account for the IT Manager to give approved access.
