Position Summary:
2nd Shift - Tues-Fri - 3p-1a $ 21.98/hr + $1.00/hr Shift Diff Temp to Perm
This position is a Level 1 System technician whose skills and abilities are limited primarily to simple troubleshooting and general maintenance of material handling systems and equipment such as conveyor sortation systems and print and supply systems, to ensure optimal functioning. Primary service requests are server restarts, print and apply applicators, cable installation/runner for access points. Additionally, this position may assist in trouble shooting computer and communication equipment issues to maintain sound operational functionality.
Specific Responsibilities:
Monitor and control material handling systems and equipment (i.e. sortation and print & apply systems) as assigned. Maintain optimal system operations through monitoring the functionality, preventative systems maintenance, and identification of performance issues. 50%

Troubleshoot issues with printers, scanners and other related equipment. Install, configure and maintain computer workstations, devices as assigned. Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot system and equipment
issues. Resolve programming problems, lock-ups, password problems and electrical power outages. Troubleshoot network issues. 25%

Print and distribute system generated information and reports. 10%

Assist with special projects or perform other duties as assigned. 5%

Repair and remove defective parts to install replacements. 5%

Lubricate and clean parts. 5%
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree preferred

Working understanding and knowledge of PC hardware and software.

Requires the ability to use some precision instruments.

Ability to complete physical tasks, such as pulling cable and working in adverse conditions (i.e. weather, heights and confined spaces).

May require ability and license to operate scissor lifts and forklifts; related tests will be administered by the facility as needed.
Minimum Job Experience Required:
6 - 12 months of related work experience
