GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
Reporting to the IT Infrastructure Manager, the IT Technician is responsible and accountable for all local IT systems used by the business. You will be in charge of the implementation and maintenance of our company’s IT needs (PC, phones, local servers or network, printers, security). You will be the relay of the group IT department relative to the implementation of technical IT standards and the application of security rules. You will also be the local contact for external technical assistance.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Walk-in IT support for local business, In charge of assistance (level 1) of the current ERP and all other IT matters.
- Relay requests and incidents from local users to most relevant IT specialists.
- Participate in all IT Projects and insure a role of local relay or coordination towards the technical projects of the local entities.
- Design, develop, document implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures in line with group policy.
- Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems in line with Group requirements.
- Identify issues and opportunities, solutions and implement.
- Preserve assets, information security and control structures.
- Implement the Group’s IT tools and support users to increase efficiency in all areas.
- Maintain quality service by enforcing organization standards.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge.
- Other related duties and projects as assigned.
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with installing and supporting PC hardware, software, business applications, google applications and office technology.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
EXPERTISE:
- Strong working knowledge of PC, and laptop hardware, PC Operating Systems, Office Productivity Applications (Google Workspace) Installation and Configuration, Microsoft O/S patches and updates, and PC Operating Systems.
- Working knowledge of server hardware, Microsoft Server OS configuration, and server backup devices.
EDUCATION:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required.
INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CONNECTIONS:
- Internal – All departments and employees.
- External – Third party vendors.
LOCALIZATION AND TRAVEL EXPECTED:
- This position is located in West Bend, WI.
- Travel up to 5%.
