Job description
Provides first level (Tier I) helpdesk support to Laurel Ridge Community College faculty, staff and students who contact the ITS helpdesk. Responsible for maintaining the College’s computers and associated peripheral equipment including preventive maintenance and repairs to other electronic office and classroom equipment. This equipment includes network components, computers, servers, audio-visual, video conference equipment, and other classroom electronics.
Compensation
The hourly pay rate range for this position begins at $14.31 however, the actual hourly rate will be commensurate with education and/or experience. The position is part time and as such cannot exceed 29 hours per week and is not eligible for health or leave benefits. However, the position may offer educational benefits through our professional development and educational assistance policies.

- Demonstrated customer service experience
- Basic knowledge of Various OS’s including Windows 10, MacOS, and iOS
- Use and configuration of computing devices (Laptops, tablets, cell phones, etc.)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently, as well as part of a larger team
- Comptia A+ or equivalent certification
- Demonstrated experience working / learning in a college setting
- Demonstrated experience Helpdesk / IT support
