POSITION DESCRIPTION

The St. James is seeking an IV Infusion Specialist at its Springfield, VA location. The St. James is the premier sports, wellness and active entertainment destination in the country, with 450,000 sq. ft. of developmental and competitive programs, teams and opportunities in more than 30 sports, and a wide range of premium fitness, wellness and entertainment experiences.

Our growing medical spa is seeking part-time IV infusion specialists licensed in Virginia. We offer flexible hours and self-scheduling. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent IV skills, be a team players, self-motivated and can demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills.

IV micro-nutrient therapy is quickly becoming a mainstream wellness and beauty treatment. Our team of integrative physicians, health and beauty coaches have developed a range of IV hydration and vitamin protocols designed to boost energy, detoxify, aid in illness recovery, improve athletic performance, hangover relief, and even combat stress. Our mission is to make these incredible therapies available for our guests in the comfort of our wellness spa or event locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Administer IV and IM treatments.
• Deliver expert IV care to patients with a focus on providing a comfortable patient experience.
• Communicate IV product offerings and consult with patients to recommend appropriate therapies.
• Provide skilled, expert IV insertion & removal.
• Provide skilled venipuncture for the most comfortable patient experience possible.
• Interact with patients in a caring and compassionate manner respecting the need for privacy and confidentiality.
• Evaluate the patient's response to treatments.
• Develop approaches to problem solving which meet the individual needs of the patients.
• Document patient records according to all requirements.
• Monitor the environment of care with attention to patient safety.
• Contribute to the team toward business development, service delivery improvements and patient communications.
• Assist in defining goals and developing systems and work processes for the IV Infusion Therapy unit.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 
  LVN, Tech or EMT with appropriate IV training skills.
• Excellent IV start skills.
• At least 2-3 years acute care experience.
• Commitment to exceptional patient care.
• Able to establish rapport with patients.
• Demonstrate flexibility in setting and changing priorities.
• Accept additional responsibilities as needed.
• Flexible hour scheduling
• Ability to function in a busy work setting.
• Is responsible for living the St. James Mission, Vision and Core Values

• Excellent assessment skills.
• Ability to commit to at least 24 hours of coverage per month (12- hour commitment on either weekend day). Hours may be broken down in 4 or 6-hour increments.
• Fun and easy-going personality with the ability to engage our guests during each appointment.
• Discretion and ability to adhere to strict client privacy and confidentiality using HIPAA guidelines.
