Work Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
This leadership position is responsible for leading the on-site J. J. Keller cafe staff of 3, in-house catering, and to-go refrigerated food at our corporate office in Neenah, WI to ensure work is completed in a quality manner, customer service expectations are fulfilled, and mandated health and safety regulations are followed. This is an unique role, for a food service professional, where the job is during regular business hours and no scheduled evenings or weekends.

Job Responsibilities

  • Leads, develops and coaches team:
  • Provides clear expectations, feedback and recognition
  • Participates in the hiring/selection process
  • Writes and conducts performance evaluations and progress reports

  • Develops strategic and operational plans for execution of cafe services, including productivity and service measurements.
  • Ensures menu planning adheres to nutritional standards.
  • Manages the ordering and inventory of product to ensure availability of supplies needed.
  • Maintains documentation and reports related to food and money.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve utilization of cafeteria services.
  • Performs Cafeteria Server job functions as part of the daily operations.
  • Manages expenses in line with departmental budgets and corporate business conditions.
  • Carries out responsibilities in a fair, ethical and non-discriminatory manner and ensure that staff follows these same guidelines.
  • Enforces and support all company policies and procedures. Fully support the company's commitment to safety and the environment and strive to maintain a clean, healthy and safe workplace.

Qualifications
Experience:

  • Culinary experience in food service or restaurants.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Experience maintaining a Point-of-Sale (POS) system, including reporting.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts or hospitality desirable.
  • State of Wisconsin Certified Food Manager desirable.

Other Skills/Qualifications:

  • Proficient in the use of a PC and MS Office Suite, Excel in particular.
  • Commitment to high level of customer service.
  • Knowledge of general business financials and budgeting.
