Who you are

We're looking to bring on board a JavaScript Developer to join our marketing team in York. You will be working alongside our lead developer, who will be on hand to provide support and coaching as and when needed. You will be someone with a passion for coding who enjoys working on a wide variety of fast-moving projects, where your contributions can make an instant impact on the business.

What you will do

In the role you will get the opportunity to work across multiple marketing channels, to help drive optimisations, uncover opportunities, and deliver data insights. It’s a great way to fast track your tech career and become a key team member for driving business growth.

Your knowledge of JavaScript will enable you to work with the API’s and scripts of multiple marketing platforms, including Google Analytics and Google Ads. You will assist in the design and development of scripts, internal tools, and other software, in order to assist a wide range of automation-based objectives, including automating reports, improving efficiencies and creating digital marketing campaigns.

Essentials:

• Previous JavaScript development experience means that you can join this team and immediately begin contributing to the design and development process.
• Fundamental knowledge of JavaScript (ES5 & ES6+) and NodeJS.

• Proven problem-solving skills
• Ability to adapt and learn in a fast-paced environment.

Any experience in the following would be advantageous however, we’re more interested in you as a person and your attitude to learning is key!

• 
  Experience of using TypeScript
• Version control such as Git and GitHub.
• Utilities and build tools including Travis, Webpack, NPM and ESLint
• Querying and fetching data from third party REST APIs
• Google Apps Scripts

To support your application please provide some examples of your work, do you have any projects you could share with us that you have worked on yourself, specifically showing code? These could be projects from a commercial role, university work or a personal project.
