Journeyman Electrician

Job Summary

Work Schedule: Monday through Thursday - 10 hour shift

Duties and Responsibilities:

Depending upon assignment, duties may include but are not limited to the following:

• Install, maintain, and repair various electrical systems and equipment
• Follow safety codes and building regulations
• Communicates effectively orally, in writing, and electronically
• Read and work from blueprints, technical manuals, charts, and schematics
• Maintain accurate records and reports on completed assignments
• Performs any other related duties as assigned
• Establish and maintain cooperative work relationships

Requirements and Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED certificate
• Valid Driver’s License
• Valid Utah Journeyman License
• Able to diagnose problems using electronic test equipment
• Completion of 10-hour OSHA training upon hire
• Demonstrate knowledge of methods, materials, tools, safety practices and equipment in the electrical trade
• Strong troubleshooting abilities
• Good time management and strong work ethic
• Problem solving and critical thinking

Working Conditions:

• Indoor and outdoor construction sites. Outdoor sites often exposed to weather conditions
• Hazardous conditions

Physical Abilities:

• Hearing and speaking to effectively exchange information
• Sit, stand, and walk for extended time periods
• Lift moderate to heavy objects (50lbs)
• Ability to remain on feet all day
• Ability to work at heights on scissor lifts

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour
