ZACHRY is currently seeking an experienced Commercial Journeyman Electrician for our commercial facility located in Katy, TX.

Position Summary: Provides maintenance and construction services such as conduit work install and uninstall wiring, daily troubleshooting in commercial office buildings.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Position Responsibilities:

• Plans new or modifies installations to minimize waste of materials and provide access for future maintenance and installations.
• Follows blueprints.
• Works on electrical conduit
• Connects power cables to equipment using hand tools.
• Connects wiring to lighting fixtures.
• Observes functioning of the installed equipment.
• Tests the installed equipment for safety and electrical compatibility.

Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

• Demonstrated commercial maintenance and service history experience.
• Expected to have electrical experience in a maintenance and service environment.
• Good reading comprehension
• Ability to work with others and be team player.
• Good communication skills with clients, co-workers, and supervisors
• Commitment to Zachry values and safety rules and regulations
• Must understand how to read and interpret technical manuals to determine work procedures.
• Must have experience using hand tools and power tools.
• Must have a State of Texas Journeyman electrical license.
• Must have Journeyman Electrician tools.
• Minimum 3-5 years commercial maintenance experience required.
• Must have reliable transportation and be flexible to work as needed.
• Driver license.

• Former Zachry employee.
• Formal education/degree/technical or trade school.
• Service truck experience
• Communication cabling
• Man lifts.
• Forklifts
• 4,160 volts

Reporting to:

• ConocoPhillips Headquarters located in Houston Texas

Physical demands:

• Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting. Will occasionally work at heights from man lifts, climb ladders and stairs. Will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, safety vests, gloves, steel-toe boots and FRC’S.

Work environment:

• Will work mostly in a climate-controlled environment. At times will work in all weather conditions ranging from warm/hot – cool/cold. Noise levels are low.

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
