One of the area’s leading commercial electrical contractors, CET has offices in Worcester, Bridgewater and Taunton, MA serving all of New England and New York. We have built a skilled team with a broad knowledge, deep expertise, and commitment to the highest level of Electrical, Solar, EV Charging, Energy Efficiency contracting standards to tackle projects of varying size and complexity.

Commonwealth Electrical Technologies currently has several openings for experienced Electrical Foremen, Licensed Electricians, and Apprentices mostly working on large New Construction, Medical, EV Charging Stations, Solar, and Service projects.

Journeyman Responsibilities:

• Aid and oversee (as needed) in the preparation of job materials, crew members, and equipment
• Work with Site Manager to ensure the integrity and effectiveness of safety protocols
• Work with Apprentices in furthering their education and job knowledge
• Conduct a customer walkthrough and interface with customer throughout each installation
• Ensure work performed is of good workmanship and compliant with current NEC and local codes
• Direct and perform equipment layout activities
• Install electrical equipment, wire, and conduit per design specifications
• Ensure all closeout and commissioning procedures are being completed
• Work with local inspectors to satisfy local requirements and expectations
• Additional duties as needed

Apprentice Responsibilities:

• Under direct supervision, assist the Lead Electrician by performing tasks including
• Assist in terminating electrical panels, fixtures, outlets and various electrical devices.
• Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems
• Assist in safely prepping, maintaining and tracking all tools and equipment on job site
• Follow established safety practices and procedures and maintain a clean work area
• Assist with recording job file for material used and needed

• Attend required schooling to achieve the 600 hours required to take the Journeyman Electrical Exam

Requirements:

• Experience in commercial, industrial, or large residential projects
• Ability to diagnose and resolve problems
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance and attitude
• Be able to lift at least 50 pounds
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to pass a county background and drug screen
• Ability to complete OSHA, CPR, and Safety training provided by CET
• All necessary hand tools

Salary: $20.00 - $45.00 per hour

Pay: $20.00 - $45.00 per hour
