Responsibilities & Qualifications:
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Demonstrate knowledge and accomplishment in monitoring and analyzing Firewall system logs
  • Work under general supervision developing the requirements of a product from inception to conclusion
  • Develop required specifications for simple to moderately complex problems
  • Coordinate with the Vendor PM, COTRs, and government user representatives to ensure accurate solutions and user satisfaction on technical matters
  • Formulate Security policy and manage Security configuration
  • Analyzing current enterprise firewall ruleset
  • Assist the agency by recommending and implementing improvements and policies across the enterprise
REQUIREMENTS
  • Five (5) years relevant experience to include the following:
    • Working knowledge of Firewalls
    • Working knowledge and understanding of industry standard network environments to include firewall and security hardware/software
    • Working knowledge of Information Assurance Best Practices
    • In depth knowledge of LAN and WAN operations
    • Knowledge of industry standard Incident Ticket Tracking systems for inputting incident tickets and creating work orders
    • Comprehensive knowledge of DoD and DLA security regulations, guidelines, and policies, to include, but not limited to, IA standards
    • Experience analyzing Firewall rulesets/object
    • Making recommendations to customers to implement industry best standards/deny by default firewall policies
    • Cleaning up firewall rules and standardizing object/rule naming conventions
    • Implementing restrictive, deterministic firewall rule bases
    • Working knowledge of the installation, configuration and day-to-day sustainment of network equipment, to include but not limited to: firewalls and other network appliances
    • Active Secret clearance able to obtain Top Secret clearance
  • Preferred Qualifications:Five (5) years relevant experience to include the following:
    • Working knowledge and understanding of industry standard network environments to include firewall and security hardware/software
    • Working knowledge of Information Assurance Best Practices
    • In depth knowledge of LAN and WAN operations
CERTIFICATIONS
  • CCNP (preferred) will accept CCNA
  • Comp TIA Security + CE
