At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Jr. Software Environment Engineer you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on TS/SCI Cleared Software Environment Engineer joining our team to support our intelligence customer in Springfield, VA or St. Louis, MO.
HOW A JR SOFTWARE ENVIRONMENT ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Incrementally build functionality for DevSecOps product verticals- Participate in sprint planning and release planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and other agile related events
- Track and communicate oval progress against assigned user stories
- Update agile tracking systems to provide transparency on product and sprint backlogs
- Assist with internal and external communication
- Provide complexity estimates through story selection and task definition
- Promote a collaborative team environment that fosters experimentation, creativity and innovation
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Required Skills:
- Associate’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, and work experience
- Experience working in dynamic team-based environment
- Understanding of DevSecOps and /or software/application development processes
- Familiarity with programming or scripting languages (e.g. Javscript, Python)
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with web-based Knowledge Management and workflow tools
- Active TS/SCI level security clearance required to start and must be able to obtain a CI Poly
Desired Skills and Certifications:
- 2+ years of experience working within the DoD or IC Community
- Experience with Atlassian Agile Products; specifically, JIRA and Confluence
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification
- Sec+ certification or ability to obtain Security+ certification within 90 days of hire
