Magnify is looking for a Junior UX/UI Designer for this direct hire, remote position for a startup company! This individual will be eager and open learning the building blocks and systems. While this position is remote, there may be team events or gatherings that the ideal candidate will be able to attend in Jackson Township, NJ.

Schedule: Mon - Friday

Location: Remote - must reside in the US and preferably within Eastern Standard Time Zone

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000/ Year dependent on experience

Responsibilities of the role:

• Investigate user experience design requirements for our suite of digital assets
• Take existing apps and edit or improve them to create a more user friendly experience
• Design elements that are both functional and posses a 'wow factor'
• Understand the brand's objectives and requirements to develop and conceptualize a comprehensive UX/UI design strategy
• Design UI elements and tools like navigation menus, tabs, search boxes and widgets for digital assets
• Test elements ie. banners, page designs, layouts and flows, CTAs, target links for landing pages etc.
• Use wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, prototypes, mockups etc. to produce UX design solutions
• Work closely with the marketing team, internal and external designers to create and provide a tailored experience for the digital user that meets the brand's goals
• Align with style standards for typography and graphic design

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree
• 2+ years of WORKING UI/UX design experience for digital products or services
• Team player attitude - able to work with other teammates or other teams
• Comfortable being on video during standups, client meetings etc.
• Ability to explain and defend design choices - explaining decision making process
• Must be passionate about work
• A portfolio of professional UI/UX design work for both mobile and web platforms
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working with technologies and software including but not limited to; Sketch, Balsamiq, InVision, Visio, HTML, CSS (SCSS), iOS, Android, Design Systems, Adobe Creative Suite
• Multi-tasking, time management and prioritizing skills
• Ability to work in a remote setting while staying on-task
• Marketing background or experience is a plus!
