Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Junior Acquisition Logistics specialist to join our team! In this role you will work with Parsons colleagues to develop and rapidly deploy the next generation of resilient Missile Warning (MW), Tactical Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (TISR), and Environmental Monitoring (EM) capabilities to deter attacks and provide critical information to our warfighters.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • You’ll work with our clients to evaluate, redesign, and author their system lifecycle and sustainment policies, processes, and documents.
  • You’ll use your understanding of the DoDI 5000.2 to collaborate with a cross-functional team of data analysts, financial managers, systems engineers, and logisticians to ensure lifecycle and sustainment policy and documentation reflects DoD guidance and directives.
  • You’ll enjoy the work if you thrive on autonomy and are eager to author cutting-edge policy and process documents in support of defense sustainment programs.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Experience with program integration and logistics planning of space-related (space, ground, software, hardware system) Major Defense Acquisition Programs
  • Experience in DoD Acquisition Program Management, Acquisition Planning, Sustainment Infrastructure and Organizational Planning
  • Experience with acquisition management support including developing and coordinating briefings
  • Experience with assessing program documents and risks to determine the impact to acquisition strategy and overall program schedule
  • Knowledge of the execution processes unique to the sustainment and logistics organization
  • Ability to communicate and establish collaborative relationships with government clients, Federally Funded Research and Developmental Centers (FFRDC), and associate contractor teammates to achieve program goals
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Highly motivated and dynamic work ethic with a strong desire to contribute to the DoD mission
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, mathematics, physics, or equivalent technical discipline


What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Experience with assessing program documents and risks to determine the impact to acquisition strategy and overall program schedule
  • Experience with performing systems engineering, integration, and test on space-based remote sensing systems
  • Experience with cross-functional projects and using extensive collaboration across departments
  • Knowledge of systems engineering standards, including IEEE 15288.1 and IEEE 15288.2
  • Knowledge of DoD 5000.01/02
  • Knowledge of Agile Methodologies
  • TS/SCI Clearance
  • Master’s degree in an engineering, mathematics, physics, or equivalent technical discipline
  • INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional certifications (ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP)
  • PMP Certification

Salary Range:

$59,300.00 - $103,800.00
