Junior Claims Adjuster to £35,000

This well established but rapidly expanding insurance organisation has an excellent market reputation and is now looking for an candidate with some Claims Adjuster experience for their London operation.

The main function of the role will include assisting with assessing claims presentations; checking coverage; ensuring appropriate information/documentation is available; management of experts; deciding on agreement/query declinature as appropriate; communicate decision to brokers and management where appropriate; record necessary information onto mainframe and other systems as appropriate; identify documentation required for retention by; and manage broker and cedant relationships.

Duties:

To ensure that all Client reporting adheres to the standards and timeframes stipulated within each Service Level Agreement.

Handle claims ensuring reserves are established in the company systems in an accurate and timely manner in line with agreed claims authorities applicable to each respective client.

Ensure that “follow” claims are monitored daily via the market bureaux claims messages.

Use expertise to handle contentious claims appropriately with referral to applicable authorities as appropriate.

Manage relationships with external experts as applicable to each case and within agreed terms of engagement.

Maintain flow of information with Actuarial Team.

Support periodic audits and adhere to all regulatory requirements.

Attend internal and external meetings at all levels and contribute to ensure that accurate records of these meetings are maintained for future reference.

Provide support to the Client Services Manager as required.

Provide support to the Claims Operations Team as required.

Provide support to the Claims Manager as required.

To maintain compliance with any applicable UK or International statutory or regulatory obligation as required by the role.
