GPI seeks a full-time Traffic/Transportation Engineer for our growing Albany Office. This position provides the flexibility to be involved in public and private development projects with diverse work, from Traffic Studies and Signal Designs to Pedestrian Safety, Multi-modal Operations, and Roadway Lighting Design. The immediate role will require the candidate to perform traffic analysis, CADD drafting, and field work to support traffic studies and designs.

Responsibilities:
- Computer-aided drafting in MicroStation and AutoCAD to develop design plans and report figures.
- Traffic capacity analysis using software such as Synchro and HCS.
- Field inventories of roadway features and traffic signal equipment.
- Placement and retrieval of video traffic count equipment.
- Support tasks to assist other engineers in preparing traffic studies and design plans.
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology. BS in Civil Engineering Preferred.
- 0-3 years experience in engineering
- Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents.
- Basic knowledge of computer-aided drafting and design (CADD). Knowledge of MicroStation preferred.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration
- Read, write, and understand plans and directions given in the English language
- Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team members
