Reisterstown Pet Resort & Spa is a full-service animal care facility offering lodging, grooming, and daycare located on 7 acres in Reisterstown, MD. We are looking for the right candidate to join our growing facility.

Overview:
The Kennel Attendant is responsible for providing a clean, efficient and healthy environment for the animals lodging at the resort. A day in the life of a Kennel Attendant:
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the resort, including kennel area, runs, cattery, and outside grounds.
  • Monitor and record important information about the animals’ conditions, behavior and habits (elimination, eating, etc.).
  • Follow procedures for completing guest activities (walk, playtimes, group playtimes, cuddletimes)
  • Notify management of unusual medical or behavioral problems.
  • Clean kennel and cat areas daily.
  • Maintain dishes and laundry throughout the day and keep laundry area neat.
  • Perform other duties as assigned that assist management in the smooth flow and operation of the resort, care of clients and service to the clients.
Responsibilities / Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Flexible schedule including weekend/holiday shifts.
  • Must have computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Must possess strong communication skills, good judgment and be able to manage stressful situations.
  • Must have the physical and mental capacity to perform in a fast paced and challenging environment.
  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
  • Previous experience as a kennel assistant
