POSITION/TITLE: Key Account Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: The Key Account Manager will play a critical role within the organization and will be responsible for working with both company teams to ensure continued success and support of the company's key customers. This role reports directly to the Director of Sales. The Key Account Manager’s main responsibility will be managing customer project opportunities for both tooling and automation equipment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process, Review, and Follow up new opportunities from assigned key accounts, promoting strong communication and ensuring continued success.
  • Develop business plans to facilitate profitable business in alignment with the company’s established revenue goals.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for key customers.
  • Serve as a cross functional liaison between customers and the company business units to facilitate productive communications, planning and interactions; and resolutions for technical, commercial, quality and/or delivery issues.
  • Ensure and aid the finance team in the pursuit of improved receivable collections
  • Provide insight and participate in continuous improvement activities that will aid in the improvement of customer satisfaction, plant efficiency and market growth
  • Perform other job-related responsibilities as required to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
  • Prioritize frequent face-to-face meetings with assigned customers.
  • Support Tooling trials which may include lifting, bending, and sanding of composite parts. Located in Fenton Michigan.
  • Support Automation equipment reviews and acceptance events with customer and technical leaders of the company. Located in Temperance Michigan.
  • Accept ownership of the revenue goals and the individual revenue growth number.
  • Adjusts content of sales presentations based on customer needs.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, marketing techniques, etc.
  • Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Science, or related technical field experience.
  • Minimum of two years sales or customer contact project management experience preferred
  • Minimum of three years manufacturing or industrial experience
  • Target industry experience preferred – Manufacturing, Automation or Custom Machine Building
  • Ability to manage an opportunities pipeline via a CRM. Ability to generate accurate bookings and revenue forecasts, as well as effective sales status reports.
  • Ability to travel within North America and potentially internationally.
  • Ability to work from various work locations and schedules

  • Ability to function as a team player and be comfortable leading with authority.
  • Ability to build credibility and trust.
  • Ability to influence leaders and change their paradigms.
  • Must be proficient with the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
