Kindergarten Instructional Aide
Job description
This position is available to be filled immediately.
An instructional aide assists the teacher in effectively carrying out their responsibilities. As an instructional aide, you will be responsible for the learning and understanding of a group of students. It would be your job to assess their progress, have discussions with them, and providing assistance to the students when needed.
All duties of an instructional aide are carried out at the command of the lead instructor. You will help the lead teacher to maintain a safe and healthy learning environment.
You will also be assigned supervision duties with other students and classes throughout the school day.
Requirements
- High school diploma or a bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
- Required skills: excellent communication skills, ability to follow instructions, crisis management skills, counseling, and empathy.
- Virtus Training and Fingerprinting through the Archdiocese of Los Angeles are required.
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
