STATEMENT OF THE JOB:
The Kitchen Aide will serve catered food to clients ensuring the food is stored and served at the proper temperature in accordance with NYC DOHMH regulations. The Kitchen Aide will be responsible for managing the kitchen inventory and supplies as well for kitchen cleaning
- Serve catered food to the participants according to NYC DOHMH regulations and ensure proper portion size
- Clean and maintain kitchen area and related equipment
- Assist to receive, date, and store all food items
- Assist with inspection of all food items for freshness and correct amount ordered
- NYC DOHMH Food Handlers Certification
- Experience in food industry preferred but not necessary
- Work well with others
- Able to follow directions
- Bilingual Spanish/English; Russian/English; Chinese/English; Korean/English speaking preferred.
- Able to travel to multiple locations within the five boroughs as needed.
- Frequently lifts and/or moves up to 25 pounds.
