Blue Cat Lounge Kitchen Manager
Alhonna Resort is a 60-unit resort property which is home to the new Blue Cat Lounge. Our restaurant/bar must provide a delicious and unique experience to capture our resort guests while attracting off property customers to dine and drink at our venue year around. Creativity, attention to detail, a passion for your job and the ability to communicate with customers & staff effectively are essential qualities for success in this position.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Oversee all daily operations of kitchen & banquet events.
· Manage inventory so that all necessary ingredients are stocked for service.
· Streamlining the kitchen processes to maintain prompt service times.
· Knowledge of food costing and strategic menu pricing.
· Train employees in restaurant food safety to ensure compliance with all required regulations and licensing in the state of Missouri.
· Inventory & execute purchases of food and other supplies for the kitchen & restaurant ensuring appropriate levels are ordered to meet seasonal business demand.
· Setting regular cleaning standards for the kitchen and verifying that staff is maintaining sanitation levels.
· Tracking kitchen finances to identify areas of potential waste.
· Hiring, training, and scheduling of all back of house staff to maximize guest service and minimize employee turnover. Hold weekly staff meetings to address and solve issues and fine tune operations for maximum success.
· Monitor policies and oversee the enforcement of those policies in the kitchen.
· Maintain cleanliness of all equipment, work & storage areas of the kitchen.
Qualifications for Restaurant Manager:
· A minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in the Food & Beverage industry and knowledge of back-of-house operations is required.
· Excellent organizational, communication and management skills.
· Basic Proficiency in Microsoft OS, Word & Excel. Toast POS experience is a plus.
· Applicants should be excellent leaders, detail oriented and demonstrate a continuous commitment to customer service.
· Applicants must be willing and able to step in when or where needed to ensure complete guest satisfaction.
· Ability to prioritize & delegate tasks for timely completion.
Physical Demands:
· Ability to work long hours, including early mornings & evenings, weekends, and holidays are required
· Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
· Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time
· Ability to work in a hot environment
· Ability to work in a high-volume kitchen
· Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds
Other Information:
Pay is Full-time salary: $49,000 – 59,000. Pay is commensurate with experience.
Expected Weekly Hours: 60 – 70 in season, 40 - 50 off season
Supervises: All back of house restaurant staff
Reports to: F&B Manager
