The Crisis Center Kitchen Manager will be expected to have knowledge of the following:
- IDOE School Lunch Program
- Menu Planning
- Ordering
- Inventory
- Production Records
- Basic Cooking Skills
Schedule is the following (Total 40 hours per week):
- Sunday 8:00am – 5:00pm 9 hours
- Monday 5:30am – 5:30pm 12 hours
- Tuesday 5:30am – 5:30pm 12 hours
- Wednesday 10:30am – 5:30pm 7 hours

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Training:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Must be 21 years of age or older

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/EXPECTATIONS:
- Complete and maintain ServSafe Manager Certification.
- Keep all records required including compliant menus (breakfast, lunch, after school snack), safety plan, and procurement for shipping/spending records.
- Know what makes up a compliant meal including weekly nutritional requirements.
- Maintain production records, sanitization records, safety records.
- Civil right annual training for all kitchen staff.
- Menus planning, inventory, placing orders.
- Sets the kitchen cleaning schedule (posted in the kitchen).
- An audit will be done by the IDOE every two (2) years to maintain our participation in school breakfast, lunch, after school snack program.
- Pass yearly state kitchen inspection.
- Supervises kitchen staff and has monthly staff meetings with kitchen staff.
- Prepares menus for staff and residents and assure the healthiest nutritional and cleanliness standards are being met.
- Oversees freezers, coolers, food pantry/storage areas cleaned, sanitized, organized and stocked at all times.
- Practice good housekeeping skills and maintain safety standards. Provide advice on maintenance or replacement/repair needs.
- Oversees the cleaning and sanitizing of all kitchen equipment including stove, fryers, dishwashers, etc.
- Oversees the cleaning and sanitizing of all kitchen cooking utensils including bowls, pots, pans, baking dishes, etc.
- Oversees the cleaning and sanitizing of all kitchen countertops, floors, and preparation areas.
- Oversees cleaning of where meals are served to clients and staff.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness in personal appearance and hygiene; food handling gear is used at all times.
- Review expiration dates of all foods stored or ready to be used.
- Maintain records as required and requested: production, commodity inventory, number of meals served, school lunch records and nutritional records.
- Provide special request and/or special occasion meals as requested
- May perform other duties as requested by direct supervisor within the scope of the position.
- Attend all trainings required by State and Agency requirements (Mandatory) which shall include: HIPAA, Sexual Harassment, Universal Precautions, Fire/Safety, Cultural Diversity, Nutrition/Sanitation and complete their annual total hours of training and take the annual TB test prior to the Evaluation process.
- Perform meal preparation and cooking according to the menus required by IDOE and other Contractual obligations.
- Provide advice on maintenance or replacement/repair needs.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
