Dining Staff – Utilities
Department: Dining Services
Job Category: Full Time - Non-Exempt Reports To: Director of Dining Services
Work Schedule:
General working hours are 7:00 AM – 2:30 PM,
Some evening and weekend availability for special
events needed
School year position (August – June)
Pay Range:
$14‐$15/hour
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Setting up dining hall for service
Cleaning dinnerware during and after each service
Follow PPE protocols/Maintain clean and orderly workspace
Ability to walk, stand, crouch during working hours
Ability to lift up 50lbs
Follow prep list assigned by Food Service Director or Supervisor
Work in an efficient manner, clean as you go, follow all Health Department Guidelines as well as
facility HACCP.
Perform basic cooking duties of assigned station and other duties as assigned by supervisor
Ensure all food and other items are stored and labeled properly.
Follow the assigned menu, but work creatively within the menu (with approval from supervisor).
Must use gloves, aprons, and protective eyewear when handling hot items, cleaners/hazardous
chemicals, using knives, meat slicers or any sharp objects (OSHA regulated).
Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by way of cleaning during prep, after service dishes, prep
surfaces, floors, trash removal, etc.
Serve students in an efficient manner with a positive demeanor.
Ability to walk, stand, maintain balance, crouch, lift up to 50 lbs., bend, stoop, and reach above
shoulder level.
Assist in preparations for special events
Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.
