Job Summary
Under the direction of the Quality Manager, performs a variety of administrative duties providing certification documentation (i.e. ISO, API, etc.) to Kito-Crosby internal and external customers. Also produces and maintains Quality reports and records in such a manner that periodic audit requirements are met. Utilizes Microsoft Office Suite skills. Knowledge of Forging Industry preferred.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Provides quality specifications to outside vendors.- Validates pass/fail Tensile and Charpy test results according to Type Approval requirements.
- Inspect goods or products according to quality and safety standards.
- Scan production sheets into data repository.
- Retrieves Material Test Reports (MTRs) and data books upon customer requests.
- Manage various files for internal and external suppliers.
- Report quality anomalies to Quality Engineer or Quality Manager.
- Conduct document audits according to Quality Management System (QMS).
Job Specifications (Work Experience, Skills, Abilities, etc.)
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Quality Assurance, including ISO 9001.- Experience with Corrective Actions, Root Cause Analysis and Preventive Action required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office required.
- Working knowledge of castings, forgings, plate, bar and other steel products preferred.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to work in noisy environment.
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED.
