Acuren Inspection is currently recruiting for Laboratory Technicians to support our operations in West Boylston, MA. The successful candidates will perform sample preparation and testing for failure analysis in accordance with engineering work instructions.
Responsibilities:
- Digest and follow technical instructions (purchase orders, specifications, drawings, etc.) in the preparation of client supplied test material for metallographic, mechanical, and chemistry evaluation.
- Operate laboratory sample preparation equipment including abrasive saws, grinders, and or polishers.
- Assist in the coordination of workflow through the department and scheduling to meet customer needs.
- Interface with engineering for work instructions and testing requirements.
- Perform other duties as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Two years of post-high school studies in relevant technical field is preferred
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and drawings.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Communication skills including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Ability to safely carry out oral and written work instructions.
