LABORATORY ANALYST - ENTRY LEVEL CAREER OPPORTUNITY

2nd SHIFT: Monday - Friday, 2 PM to 10:30 PM

The selected candidate will play a key role in helping our lab to provide high quality, defensible data for our clients. You will be trained by highly experienced senior scientists in the performance of various analyses of drinking water, ground water, wastewater, soil, and solid materials. Our immediate openings include conducting sample analyses in the Inorganics lab, and working on sample preparation in our PFAS lab.

Our Laboratory Analysts are provided the opportunity to continuously improve their skills, be trained on new analyses and advance in their career with us.

What Will You Be Doing?

• Complete sample preparation and analysis using a variety of techniques in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures - SOPs
• Utilize state-of-the-art instruments & equipment
• Ensure proper handling and quality control of samples
• Enter data into LIMS in a timely and accurate manner
• Develop and maintain knowledge and understanding of laboratory systems and protocols, instrumentation and technology.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially excel and word) and other windows software

Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Microbiology, Chemistry, Environmental Science or related area; Associate’s Degree; OR equivalent experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to and including 50 lbs.
• Frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, bending
• Visual acuity to determine accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness to make laboratory observations
• Employee is subject to typical laboratory conditions, including potential exposure to chemicals

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
