Job description
The Laboratory Quality Specialist supports management in developing, maintaining, and refining pertinent quality documentation for the laboratory. This position will be responsible for monitoring quality metrics and working with leadership to identify areas of concern or non-compliance and work collaboratively to remedy. Additionally, the Laboratory Quality Specialist will be responsible for tracking process improvement initiatives and outcomes to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation bodies.
Minimum Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum Work Experience
- 3 years of clinical laboratory experience with emphasis on processes, practices, policies, and standards.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Detail-oriented.
- Strong Microsoft desktop application skills.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Ability to problem solve and demonstrate sound critical thinking.
- Demonstrated strong communication skills (written, verbal & listening)
- Ability to think creatively and collaborate with team members to institute change.
Location: Rutland Regional Medical Center · Laboratory Administration
Schedule: full-time, day shift, 8:30am - 5:00pm
