SUMMARY OF ROLE

Rapid Micro Biosystems is seeking a Laboratory Support I, Microbiology responsible for general R&D Microbiology Laboratory support and maintenance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists with inventory management including but not limited to receipt, labeling, stocking, disposal, and tracking of laboratory consumables, reagents, and media.
• Assists with the management of internal and external test samples and documentation.
• Performs routine laboratory equipment maintenance activities.
• Responsible managing laboratory biohazard and non-hazardous waste disposal.
• Responsible for laboratory housekeeping activities.
• Provides other laboratory support as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES

• A minimum of 1 year experience working in a laboratory environment.
• Action oriented self-starter and excellent troubleshooting skills
• Able to work successfully in cross-functional teams
• Entrepreneurial spirit, but comfortable working in regulated environments

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Primarily in an office setting with integration in labs and manufacturing.
• No travel required <10%
