ABOUT THE JOB

As a Laborer, you will perform tasks involving physical labor at building, highway, and heavy construction projects, excavation, and demolition sites. The Laborer may operate a variety of equipment and instruments. We do not require you to live in a specific location for this position, as it is a traveling position, but you will be expected to report to one of our current job sites across the US. Tepa is a federal prevailing wage contractor. Pay rates will be determined by project and location.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Load, transport, and unload mechanical materials, tools, and supplies.
  • Maintain a clean work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary.
  • Perform other routine duties as directed by experienced Mechanical Team members.
  • Climbing ladders and lifting material.
  • Use hand tools and other various small equipment
  • Must be able to identify and follow safe working procedures. Must be able to identify and stop unsafe work practices around jobsite that present imminent danger to others.
  • Must be able to identify and find different jobsite building materials, tools, and equipment in order to follow directions given by supervisor.
  • Cleans and prepares job sites to eliminate possible hazards.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Some equipment experience preferred, but not required.
  • Some pipeline and/or fuels knowledge preferred, but not required.
  • Willing to work outside 90 percent of the day
  • Must be able to pass background check
  • Occasional long days, some weekends, and after hours

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be able to communicate clearly.
  • Must be able to work with a team/crew
  • Must be able to follow direction
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
  • Must be able to pass military background check to gain approved access onto Military Facilities.
