Abria Recovery is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor to join our team as an Admissions Counselor. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing evidence-based substance abuse treatment and a passion for helping individuals achieve lasting recovery.

- Screening client referrals
- Complete all intake orientation and necessary paperwork
- Responsible for completing comprehensive assessments
- Update comprehensive assessment, and coordinate with funding sources
- Obtain appropriate funding
- Maintain confidentiality with state and federal guidelines and HIPPA requirements
- Provide coverage or assistance when additional staffing is needed
- Maintain daily census log
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in substance abuse treatment and maintain licensure requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case notes and documentation in accordance with company policies, ethical guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards related to confidentiality, informed consent, and mandated reporting.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor or management team.
- Current LADC/ADC-T license
- Must have First Aid/CPR certification or be willing to obtain within 30 days of hire
- Able to pass Minnesota DHS background study
- Must have or obtain 12 hours of training in co-occurring mental health training within six months of hire
- Must be free of problematic substance use for at least the two years immediately preceding employment
- Proficiency with technology and working knowledge of electronic health record systems, Outlook emails, and calendars
