About the Position

The Land Development Project Manager will oversee the planning, design, and construction of land development projects in Boerne, Texas. This individual will be responsible for managing the project from conception to completion, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The ideal candidate is someone who is transitioning out of the military, preferably with 5 years of officer experience, has family in Boerne or is looking to move back, self managed, and highly organized. Construction experience is a plus but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development of project plans, budgets, and timelines
• Manage project teams, including engineers, architects, and contractors
• Coordinate with government agencies, community groups, and other stakeholders to obtain necessary permits and approvals
• Monitor project progress and ensure that all work is completed on time and within budget
• Ensure that all work meets required quality standards and complies with relevant regulations and codes
• Provide regular project updates to senior management and other stakeholders
• Identify and manage project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
• Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project
• Manage third-party vendors responsible for landscaping and irrigation
• Conduct project close-out activities, including documentation and final inspections

​Expectations

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in project management, preferably as a military officer
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with the Boerne market is a plus
• Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
• This job may require occasional travel and field work, including walking on construction sites and working in outdoor environments. The Land Development Project Manager must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.

Benefits

• The salary for this position is based on experience but starts around $100k per year with benefits.
