Landfill Construction Estimator
Position requires pre-bid construction site visits and will include walking on uneven surfaces and up and down hills and slopes
- Review project plans, requirements and specifications.
- Review and understand all bid documents and assess project risks.
- Conduct pre-bid site walks, pre-bid Q&A exchanges and customer meetings.
- Perform and verify accurate quantity take-offs including cut-to-fill volumes.
- Review contract, insurance and bonding requirements and collaborate with internal resources to ensure all requirements are met.
- Secure material quotes and bids from suppliers.
- Prepare subcontractor bid packages. Compare and analyze competitive subcontractor and supplier bids
- Determine workflow sequencing and prepare project schedule.
- Prepare full cost-based, bottom-up estimates and conduct preliminary review with operations management team.
- Coordinate final pricing/proposal reviews with Sr. Estimator, Operations Managers and the Executive Team.
- Prepare and/or coordinate written submittals to support proposal/estimate.
- Develop 3D models for awarded projects.
- Coordinate with operations personnel to successfully start-up new projects or to troubleshoot bid-versus-actual discrepancies.
- Ensure that Shamrockâs health and safety policies and practices are followed for each project plan.
- Maintain the highest ethical and safety standards at all times.
- BS in Civil Engineering or related preferred
- 5+ years proven successful experience estimating landfill construction projects
- Valid Driver's License
- Primavera, Excel, Word
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of production rates and civil construction techniques

Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
