Large Format Digital Print and Finishing Operator
We are seeking a Large Format Digital Print and Finishing Operator to join our team in Topeka, KS. This position is full time, Monday - Friday, 8:00PM to 5:00PM. Pay level is based on skill level and experience.

A digital large format printer operator is responsible for operating and maintaining one or more digital large format printers and table cutters in a production environment. This also includes general production runs on various substrates, samples and scheduled printer maintenance.

• Operate one or more printers at production quotas
• Print, cut and package signage from start to finish with the help of your teammates. Including print to multiple substrates, kiss cutting vinyl, applying pre-mask, laminating, etc.
• Maintain operability of printers including:
• Warm up and shut down procedures
• Ink level maintenance
• Scheduled lubrications
• Scheduled filter changes
• General cleanliness of machine
• Interact with Graphics Department as needed to determine job scheduling
• Arrange stock of printing material in orderly fashion to best facilitate production
• Other duties as assigned by a manager
• Perform all job duties using safety practices
• Use time wisely and remain productive
• Provide quality control at designated steps of the process
• Use graphic tools and chemicals such as UV inks, cleaning solvents, utility knife, straight edge, measuring tape, rubbing alcohol and other materials related to the production of graphics.
• Follow written and verbal instructions as given. Complete tasks in a timely manner and notify manager with any delays.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• General familiarity with computer operations in a PC Environment
• General mechanical inclination
• Ability to manage time without supervision
• 2-5+ years as industry Operator experience on Large format print and finishing equipment such a UV Flatbed or Hybrid printers.

• Pre-production file prep experience helpful. Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Experience printing on a large variety of substrates such as adhesive backed vinyl, PVC, ACM, acrylic and more.
• Ability to Multi-task, stop and start tasks and change priority on short notice as needed.
• Must be able to compare printed proofs and match color within business standards.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. pounds of material on a regular basis.
• Standing for prolonged periods.
• Periodic Overtime

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
