Responsibilities
Our Laundry Attendants are primarily responsible for maintaining a constant supply of clean linens for the hotel in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service, all while complying with hotel policies, procedures, and standards of cleanliness. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Skillful and knowledgeable in the operation of all laundry equipment; able to perform simple troubleshooting on laundry equipment
- Sorts laundry by fabric and type that is transported to the laundry from the floors. Loads articles into washer and adds specified amount of detergent, soap or other cleaning agent; dries laundry according to procedures paying attention to special requests from guests
- Sorts dried articles according to identification numbers or type; folds linen according to the policy/standard and places them in the proper storage bin
- Keeps dryer lint traps clean according to the policies set forth
- Maintains a clean work area, uncluttered, and well organized
- Notifying the maintenance department about broken or damaged items
- Follow hotel security guidelines
